Good Evening Pioneer band members and parents,

Now that graduate classes are done and I’m back from my family vacation, and I am very excited for practices next week and our first band camp together. In order to clear up some confusion and answer questions, I would like to have an informational parent meeting on Wednesday, July 30th at 6:30pm. I will ask for permission to use the middle school band room. During the meeting, I would like to have a question and answer time for anyone who would like to attend. You will also be able to check that I have up to date address/phone/email, as this has held back some communication thus far. I am hoping to get a email list serve up and running soon. (I do not have access to my school email yet, and there have been some errors with the website email, sorry if this has caused some frustration.)
On Monday, July 28th, I will be sending home hard paper copies of my expectations of band camp, uniform info, emergency medical forms, and personal bio forms. Please ask your children for these packets if you don’t see them.
I have received many fine offers for help, and I am honestly still trying to figure things out before I can ask for it. All help is encouraged and appreciated. No one knows more than I do that it takes the work of many people to build a successful band program.

My first priority is to be the best teacher I can be for your children, which I am striving to do on a daily basis. I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of the students at practice, and we’re making great progress and having a good time…looking forward to camp!
